I have broken the files down to the correct directories.

Perk levels on attributes up to level 8 :) Star progress can go up to 20 :)




With the current version, sorry for the large download. The weapon source files are pulling from something from the KFLTex file. I have nothing left in my code on the weapons that should pull from the KFLTex file, I have even checked the animation and static meshes, I have it fully switched. I'm guessing something is hidden?? For some reason the weapons will not compile without it. But for now, the KFLTex file is needed. Everything is working as far as I know from some test runs. :D I'm going to continue to look into why the KFLTex file is needed, so maybe in future updates it will be removed.




The SentryTech is pretty much what it sounds :) The perk specializes in Sentry bots and also high tech weapons. The perks pros are, very fast movement and strong shields, that's pretty much it. However, the perk will need the speed and shield increase because what the perk has in high tech gagets, the perk lacks in defense. The perk takes extra damage from everything, you name it, explosive, fire, bloat vomit, all attacks... The perk takes a lot of extra damage, and even at the end of the perk level, it still takes a lot of extra damage to everything. So, that being said, use the perks fast speed to stay away from zeds and if you do get swarmed, just hope your shields will take the damage until you can escape. ;)

The perk uses the Brutes point system, since I'm sure the bots will do a lot of damage. The bots have been modified in health and damage since the Sentry Tech specializes in well... High Tech weapons and gagets ;)

Update: V111

Changes
1. Fixed Advanced Welder, no longer will crash the server, due to the damage type switch TWI changed in November.

2. Added Flare Gun, for those dark areas ;) Thanks goes to 3xzet, for creating this weapon :)

3. Added SentryTech ini file, to allow user to set damage and health of portal turret. Also, a setting that will or will not allow the turret to be knocked over. Preset to be stationary. :)

4. Other small changes I cannot remember :)

Changes:

1. Increased health of the portal turret, since the turret is unable to be welded.

2. Increased power of the TechM7A3

3. Increased the price of the Blue Gravity gun... Extremely powerful weapon, comes with an extreme price ;)


SentryTechPerkandWeapV108

Changes:

1. Doubled the refresh rate of the advanced welder. Increased price $200

2. Doubled the carrying ammo for the shock rifle, and doubled the pick up ammo from 3 to 6. Increased price from 1250 to 1500.

3. Fixed the problem where health bars could not be seen past level 6 perk class.

4. Moved bugbait to equipment level 1





UPDATE: SentryTechPerkandWeapV107

Changes:

Added Advanced Welder to the perk ;) Pulled it from the KFL pack. So, thanks goes to you guys again :D Not for certain who the maker of the advanced welder mod is?? Please let me know, and I would like to add them as well :)

Turret and bot welding seems to be working ok when I tested it. Let me know if there are any problems. :)

Changes:(Major Update)

1. Fixed the price of the Tech Medic Bot, forgot to change it back during testing, price is a little higher than a standard bot, due to increase heal, health, and other stats.

2. Increase price of TechUSCM Sentry. Price reflects increase of damage and health compared to standard.

3.Adjusted TechPipeBomb some more, visuals only ;)

4. Movement speed now starts at 5% at 0, and a 5% increase per perk lvl

5. Added extra damage to Tech firearms. 5% at lvl 0, and 5% per lvl up to lvl8.

6.Added new weapon, Flux's G36C :D Thank You Flux :D Enjoy :D
Edit: Do not use the G36C yet. Needs a few kinks worked out. Will update when the gun is updated and the problem is fixed. :)





UPDATE: SentryTechPerkandWeapV104


Changes(MAJOR UPDATE)

1.Fixed Plasma Cutter main fire. The main fire of the plasma cutter was not increasing the perk progress. It now will progress the perk progress.

2.Changed names of the pickups for each weapon, so it will not conflict with the same weapon that might be on a server.

3.Removed med bot as starting weapon from zero and on. Player now starts with a Machine Pistol, and will later get a Plasma Cutter instead of the pistol. Also, armor is now given at 6 instead of 5.

4. Changed armor values from 1 to 6. Lowered armor greatly, now maxes at 55% at lvl 6, and from 7 on, it will be 65%.

5. Added portal turrent system files to the perk package. The files may be needed to keep from getting an error when loading the portal turret, so remember to also copy the portal turret system files to the killingfloor/system directory. If you already have the portal turret running on your sever, you will not need to copy the portal turret system files.

6.MAKE SURE to notice and FIX the new pickup names for the weapons

7. Tweaked settings on some of the weapons, especially the techpipebomb ;)

Changes:

1. Fixed armor, max is now 80% better armor(tried 95%, to strong, way unbalanced). At 100% the armor is never damaged... and anything above 100%, the game goes a little crazy with the armor it seems and also health... Oo Thank you (iamherefordownloadsz) for letting me know the problem. It has now been fixed :)

2. Changed a few settings on the SentryTech's weapons. Very minor changes. Except for the price on the Tech PipeBomb, increased the price, due to the power ;)

1. Added TechPipeBomb, it's about 2 to 3 times as strong as the regular pipe bomb... so... make sure your not close to it when it goes off ;)

2. Added TechM7A3M, which is the same as the medics, just cut the price down some for the SentryTech.

3. Added Hemi's PlasmaCutter from DeadSpace :D Another great mod by Hemi :D

4. Added extra mag and ammo % increase for SentryTech weapons as the perk progresses. This does not include the IncendiaryPipeBomb or the TechPipeBomb.

1.Added USCM Turret :)

2. Lowered the perk progression points to normal. Had the points set like the Brute, but the bots and turrets do not add to the perk progression. I have spent a few hours trying different codes, and I could not get any of the ones that I got to work, to allow the bots or turrets to add to the perk progression. So, the bots and turrets are for support and not for help on perk progression.

Just noticed... I need to update the weapons list on the main post. Added to the to do list... The install txt file, should have all the weapons listed in it. Just forgot to update them here on the forums. :paranoid:

I wish to report a problem with this perk, the sentry we get does not give any damage to the sentry tech perk, or any perk I could see. Doesn't make sense for the sentry's damage to not count for Sentry Tech damage for lvling.

Its not an error :wink: I do not allow sentry's or turrets to add to perk damage points.... This would allow people to just set and let sentry's and turrets to the work.. while they could go afk... so.. that will never happen on my servers :mrgreen:

Then why have a sentry at all? Couldn't come up with something more useful if what you give them isn't going to help them level at all? I would think some machine gun or rocket turret for them to man would be better if you feel that way, so they actually have to play for their level; as long as it was sentry tech damage.
They don't even do that much damage anyway from what I seen and I doubt players would let them get away with doing nothing, I would ask people to vote kick them if they set sentries out and did nothing, I would think most would go around healing HP and armor if they had a sentry able to get damage for them, which is would I would do if the sentry got good damage for me.

I have been asked this question since I first made this perk. :) The sentry and turrets are there for support and support only. As for damage... They do a good deal of damage. I don't want them to do high amounts, then, everyone could just go sentry tech, and set behind a wall of turrets and bots at higher levels. And bots and turrets are extremely useful as they are now. Since I started the pro servers i gave each either an extra 1000 to 1500 more health points than what they had... and i also increased each bullet by a few more points.. the bots and turrets are not meant to take on zeds by themselves(unless its a clot, stalker, crawler, plague, etc. etc. small zeds).. nor are they made to give the player damage points for what they do... I know some servers allow this, but I have no plans of ever doing this... The bots are automatic, and to me, that is just a cheap way of earning damage points to the perk progression, even if its not a ton. :nod: Also, as for the turrets and bots usefulness once again... If they are used correctly.. they are a great weapon and awesome support, for you and your teammates. Also, one last thing, on why not take out the bots and turrets and give weapons to the sentry tech. The sentry tech already gets a load of weapons.. There is no reason to remove great support bots and turrets and just give the perk more weapons, in which it has a great selection of as is :wink:
